Food safety culture is a key factor in the operation of food businesses and affects the whole organisation. A strong food safety culture ensures that all production processes are designed and implemented in a way that minimises product safety risks. The development of a food safety culture is not only a legal requirement for companies with more than 50 employees, but also a key element of the requirements of the BRCGS Food, FSSC 22000 and IFS Food standards. It helps companies to avoid problems and recalls, strengthen their brand – and also improve employee satisfaction.

The netfood® Culture Survey is designed to be an efficient and resource-saving tool. It serves as both a baseline and a measure of culture development, thus meeting the requirements of legislation and food safety standards. The service consists of two parts, one of which can be implemented together or only one of which can be implemented:

  • Analysis. Design, implementation and analysis of a culture survey. Based on a joint planning meeting, Net-Foodlab will prepare an electronic survey that is content tailored for all employee groups across the company. This is important both for meeting food safety standard requirements and for shaping practical day to day culture. The client distributes the survey links within the organisation. Net-Foodlab Oy analyses the results and delivers a netfood® Culture Survey report, which the client can use to prepare and schedule an improvement plan. The analysis phase, delivering electronically is fixed-price and therefore easy to budget.

  • Actions. Net-Foodlab Oy prepares a scheduled improvement plan that covers the different employee groups. The plan also includes a proposal for methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the actions. The The netfood® Culture Survey actions phase equals ½ person-day and, when delivered remotely, is fixed-price.
