Instructions for sampling

1: Sampling Planning
Careful planning ensures that the sample is preserved until the time of examination. If you need advice on food or surface hygiene sampling design, we are happy to help! Give us a call and we’ll work with you to discuss the required tests, the sampling and shipment schedule and the best method of shipment.

2: Sampling equipment required
It is recommended to use the appropriate instruments and containers for the procedure. You can order from us a pre-supplied sample box containing the necessary number of sample containers and sampling equipment. All you need to do is take the samples, pack them in the sample box according to the instructions and send the box back to us. The return fee has already been paid on your behalf.

Taking samples and placing a research order
Take the samples as instructed, and fill in all the sections of the test order form carefully. For help filling in the form, please call 02 273 0896.

Alternatively, you can order a sampling service from us; a qualified person will take care of both the sampling and the filling in of the test order form. Using this service, you can get your samples analysed quickly. If your company is located within a radius of 10 km from our Turku office (for the excess distance, a mileage fee and time fee of 55 E/h will be charged).

4. Bringing or sending samples to the laboratory
Please notify our laboratory by email (laboratorio@netfood.fi) at least two days before samples are due to arrive. This advance notification ensures that the sample will be examined within the time limits set by the rules.
